By day I work as an IT specialist in the high-tech environment of a German global corporation. Privately, Neustart-Linux.de is my counterbalance.

My career path was anything but linear:
After training as an IT specialist, my route led me via the German Abitur into Michelin-starred kitchens.

Those years at the pass – the station where every dish gets its final check – shaped me. That is where I learned what craftsmanship really means:

Absolute precision. Reliability. A result that has to convince without excuses.

Today I combine both worlds. I use my IT experience from the corporate environment and work with the attitude of a craftsman.

Neustart-Linux.de is not about maximum efficiency, but about people and about keeping their technology alive. I help where technology loses touch with its user – or where others have already given up.

How I work

Technology is always connected to a person. That is why every job starts with a conversation: What stopped working, since when, and what matters to you about it?

Technical assessment

Only then follows the technical view: causes, connections and possible risks.

Devices are not taken apart on a hunch and not stressed unnecessarily. The goal is to preserve as much original condition as possible and to keep risks as low as they can be.

Limits

Often, more can be achieved than is visible at first. Sometimes it takes a lot of patience or unusual approaches.

In rare cases, however, it turns out that a repair no longer brings real value or would create new risks.

Honest work also means speaking openly about that – before time, money or expectations are lost.

Volunteering: Repair Café

Alongside the business I volunteer at the local Repair Café, helping to keep devices alive that would otherwise end up in the bin – the same idea, just without an invoice.
